Summer has finally begun although some of us are planning to stay home during these times, we all want cocktails by the pool or to lounge indoors with. This year, we’re making cocktails and spiking them with coffee for an additional kick to that buzz. Scroll down to read various coffee cocktail recipes, some with only three ingredients!
Whiskey:
1. Cold Irish Coffee
You have probably heard of the iconic Irish coffee cocktail, which is usually served warm but this is the cold version from Blenderbabes.com. If you’re a whiskey drinker, these two recipes are worth a shot or two!
Ingredients:
1 oz Whiskey (or Irish Whiskey)
1 oz Irish Cream
¼ cup Milk of your choice
¼ cup Unrefined sugar
¾ cup Chilled coffee/cold brew
1 ½ cup Ice cubes
Recipe:
Throw all ingredients into your blender as listed above.
Blend- 30-40 seconds (Start slowly and work your way up).
Immediately pour the blender over the ice.
Enjoy!
2. Dublin Iced Coffee
Cold brews spiked with whiskey is everything you need this summer! BonAppetit.com can give you just what you want with the sweetest combination of ingredients, it is easy to make and to drink.
Ingredients:
2oz Cold brew
1 ½ oz Whiskey
¾ oz Simple syrup
½ oz Heavy cream
Garnish/Topping: Cinnamon and cinnamon sticks for serving
Recipe:
Add ice cubes to a cup.
Mix ingredients.
Pour cocktail over ice.
Slowly pour cream over.
Sprinkle cinnamon/Add a cinnamon stick to drink.
Rum:
1. Pineapple Rum Coffee
This fruity cocktail of pineapple, rum, and coffee is a perfect refresher for the summer. This beverage is easy to make in large batches and the original recipe is from Liqour.com.
Ingredients:
2.5 oz Rum
1 oz Pineapple juice
3/4 oz Lime juice
3/4 oz of 1 part demerara sugar with 1 part water
1/4 oz Coffee (grounded/powdered)
Garnish: Pineapple leaves and coffee powder
Recipe:
Fill up the shaker with ice.
Add all ingredients into the shaker.
Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Pour into a tiki cup filled with crushed ice.
Garnish- Pineapple leaves/Coffee beans.
Vodka:
For those of us who want easier coffee cocktail recipes with no more than three ingredients, these recipes are perfect for any vodka drinkers out there!
1. White Russian
This recipe from BBCgoodfood.com consists of 3 ingredients if you want to make a quick and easy vodka coffee cocktail just mix it all together.
Ingredients:
2 oz Vodka`
2 tbsp Kahlua (Coffee Liqueur)
1 tbsp Cream
Recipes:
Mix all ingredients together.
Fill a cup with ice cubes.
Pour over cocktail into the cup.
Sip and enjoy it!
2. Iced Caramel Coffee
This recipe is 3 ingredients long because it is iced coffee with a caramel vodka twist. You can use caramel vodka or split the two individually, either way, you will have the same outcome of the coffee cocktail.
Ingredients:
1 oz Vodka (Substitute- 20 oz of Caramel Vodka)
1 oz Caramel
2 oz Iced coffee
Recipes:
Add all ingredients.
Pour into a glass over ice.
Stir.
Sip and enjoy it!
Hard Seltzer:
1. Hard Seltzer Cold Brew
This recipe is inspired by the non-alcoholic version of this drink that is on our previous blog post here at purelycoffee.net (click to read).
Ingredients:
1 cup Hard seltzer of your choice
1 cup Cold brew coffee
Ice (as needed)
Recipe:
Pour cold brew over a cup with ice cubes.
Pour your hard seltzer over the coffee.
Mix (as needed).
Sip and Enjoy!
No matter what you are drinking this summer, these cold coffee cocktails have so much variety, even during times like these, you can always enjoy coffee and alcohol at the same time!
